We have an opportunity for a dedicated accounting professional to fill this leadership position within the Management Accounting team and we welcome you to be part of our Finance transformation.

The Coordinator Management Accounting is a senior leader reporting directly to the Manager Financial Services and Rates. As part of the Finance transformation, you are an innovator who successfully manages a team of accountants and cross functional teams to deliver solutions to business problems and streamlines financial service delivery. You can lead and inspire people, prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations, analyse complex data and market trends, and prepare Annual Budgets, Long Term Financial Plans and management reporting in accordance with legislation and accounting standards.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce/Business with a major in Accounting and current CA/CPA membership;
  • Minimum eight years’ experience leading and supervising people;
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a local government accounting role;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the transformation of a finance function to improve customer experience;
  • Detailed knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation;
  • Well-developed knowledge of Local Government Act 1995 and Local Government (Financial Management) Regulations 1996.
  • Police Clearance

The salary for this position is from $132,000 - $145,000 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
