Cross River Rail is one of the largest transport projects in Queensland, it will set the foundation for a world-class, integrated public transport system in SEQ that will transform Queensland Rail and the way we operate.  Our Major Projects finance team are seeking a Principal Finance Business Partner to join them on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager Business Partner, this role will see you provide advice and support to Queensland Rail staff and management on all facets of financial performance.

We are seeking a Principal Finance Business Partner who has extensive knowledge of the strategic commercial and financial issues facing a large infrastructure business. You will need to have experience working in a diverse organisation and be comfortable building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

As Principal Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for undertaking high quality analysis and interpretation of the drivers of financial performance using financial models and other tools.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • High level of interpersonal and relationship management skills including influencing, consultation, liaison, negotiation as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of skill in analysing financial performance and provision of financial, accounting and commercial advice for all levels of management in a large and highly diverse organisation.
  • High level of skill in modelling and analysing financial performance by working as an integral member of a small professional team.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial and accounting standards, generally acceptable accounting principles and Legislation relevant to the financial administration and management of a large and highly diverse organisation.

All candidates who wish to be considered for this position must have a degree in Accounting/Econ/ and ideally be CPA, or equivalent, qualified.

The salary for this role is approximately $123,000.00 + Superannuation + Free rail travel to and from work.
