About the role:
Our Team Leader Finance will support our Financial Controller in the preparation of timely and accurate financial and management accounting information. They will offer financial analysis, strategic advice and support across CHW, driving process improvement and providing leadership and support to the Finance Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective support, coordination and leadership to members of the Finance team
  • Building and fostering relationships with business partners to drive continuous improvement in financial data
  • Providing technical support, mentoring and other professional support to customers on matters relating to finance and evidence-based decision-making, embedding processes and improving utilisation of systems
  • Providing thought leadership to the organisation on finance related innovations
  • Be proactive in working collaboratively and participate in project teams to manage financial problems, streamline processes, develop new tools and deliver enhancements
  • Managing month end reporting processes
  • Managing and coordinating annual budgets and reforecasts
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with the planning, managing and coordinating 5-year asset revaluation
  • Planning and completing monthly, quarterly and annual submissions to DELWP, DTF and ABS
  • Preparing draft annual tax return, adhering to the National Tax Equivalent Regime (NTER)
  • Development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Contributing to the 5-year Water Pricing Submission and annual Corporate Plan processes.
  • Contributing to the planning, managing and coordinating of the Annual Report process
