As part of the ongoing development and delivery of the City's economic programs and services, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Economic Program Manager.
Reporting to the City Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of economic programs to achieve the outcomes expressed in the Economic Development Strategy and related sector action plans, in line with Sustainable Sydney 2030 goals.
Your primary role will be to design, deliver and evaluate local economic development initiatives that support specific industry sectors within the City, in partnership with appropriate commercial and government partners, which achieve tangible outcomes and benefits for city businesses.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in the implementation of economic strategies, an ability to work in complex stakeholder environments and be adept at applying your design skills to co-create innovative solutions with your stakeholders that address some of the complex problems that are prevalent across key sectors of the economy.
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, at a degree level in economics, business, communications, marketing or a related discipline, with higher degree qualifications desirable. Relevant industry knowledge and an ability to foster relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders will enable you to support and encourage Sydney businesses to be more productive and competitive on the global stage.
