About the role

This is a new position created through a restructure of our finance area and reporting to the Chief Finance Officer. We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious accounting professional who will lead the finance operations team through change. Some key responsibilities will include, but not limited to ensuring compliance and statutory requirements such as BAS, FBT and GST are met. Overseeing the preparation and delivery of Parliament's Annual Financial statements and coordination of our audit strategy. Maintenance and enhancement of the Oracle Finance System will be a key focus.

About You

You will have significant experience and competence in managing financial operations in a complex environment for multiple stakeholders.  Your success in managing change and developing a flexible and service oriented team will be highly regarded.  Along with relevant tertiary qualifications, you will be CA or CPA qualified.  A solutions-orientation and highly developed analytical and conceptual skills will serve you well in this role. An interest in and understanding of the application of technology solutions to deliver finance services is a requirement.  Well-developed communication skills and evidence that you develop professional and respectful working relationships will also be a key attribute.
