Senior Manager, Risk & Remuneration

You will actively lead and participate in the on-going development of the Group’s Risk Assessment framework for Executives, Senior Managers, Employees and Regulated Positions, including assessment and reporting of outcomes to Executives and Boards. You will also support the governance and reporting processes for the Group Risk and Remuneration Review Committee (RRRC).

The Operational Risk team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework.

On any given day you will

  • Work with Human Resources and Business Unit Operational Risk and Compliance teams to design, develop, deploy and maintain an appropriate Risk Assessment framework
  • Develop clear and simple communication materials and process collateral that is value-add for all key stakeholders. This will involve taking complex processes with multiple stakeholders and preparing templates to support the BU risk teams
  • Define, plan and implement key projects that drive the successful embedding and uplift to risk and remuneration governance practices across the Group
  • Prepare reporting for the Board, Board Risk Committee, RRRC and Senior Management including Risk Assessment outcomes, ensuring reports deliver meaningful and insightful analysis of report content
  • Support the co-ordination of RRRC meetings, including organisation of agendas, papers and logistics to support the effective governance of the Risk Assessment framework
  • Support the operation of the Risk Assessment framework at a Group level by acting as a lead, coordinating activities, sourcing data and managing processes
  • Assist in continuously improving the Risk Assessment framework and RRRC governance processes including the identification of opportunities for streamlining and removal of duplication of effort

We’re interested in hearing from people who

  • Are degree qualified in a financial, business, risk management, HR or legal discipline
  • Have solid experience in HR/remuneration practices, compliance and/or operational risk, preferably in the banking and finance sector
  • Have a detailed understanding of the financial regulatory environment
  • Hold proven project management experience in a continuously changing environment
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate concepts accurately and concisely
  • Have proven experience in compiling, preparation and writing of management reports, board papers and board reports
