Do work that makes a difference

As the Head of Business Engagement, you will be accountable for the operational and strategic leadership of the HR Business Partner team. We are seeking a strong leader that will contribute to the transformation of the HR team and the Bank. In addition, you will:

  • Support the formation of the optimal HR service model including establishing and maintaining a clear framework for how HR engages with leaders and employees.
  • Work with Bank leaders, HR Centres of Expertise and the HR Business Engagement team to develop and implement strategic HR solutions in line with the corporate plan and the HR strategy.
  • Continuously enhance and streamline end to end HR processes by leveraging HR technology to deliver an outstanding employee experience.
  • Contribute to driving an open and dynamic, high-performance culture.

Your team

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will initially oversee the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition team comprising of 4 direct reports and a total of 10 members.

The HR department supports the RBA’s strategic goals of talent attraction and retention. The HR department consists of the following key functions; Talent Acquisition, Business Engagement, Culture Leadership & Learn, Cultural Transformation, Safety & Wellbeing, Employee Relations, Reward & Design and HR Operations. 

Your background

We’re seeking an ambitious and driven HR leader to continue to lead the HR Business Engagement function and its key people initiatives. Your thought leadership combined with your strong execution, stakeholder management skills, resilience and personable nature will help set you up for success in this key senior HR leadership role.

To be successful in this role, you will possess;

  • Strong experience in an HR leadership role with both operational and strategic components.
  • Extensive people leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop team members.
  • An adaptable leader with strong attention to detail and proven success driving key business outcomes and transformation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate, influence, and communicate with key stakeholders across the Bank.
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning, change management and project leadership abilities.
