Do you love people and business? The City of Stonnington is seeking a progressive and innovative Economic Development, Arts & Tourism Coordinator to strategically develop and deliver opportunities for businesses across the City.
Based in Malvern, you will be responsible for leading the Economic Development Unit with an entrepreneurial spirit, manage the Unit’s agenda, develop opportunities for economic growth, deliver business engagement activities and develop visual arts opportunities. You will also strategically promote the City’s Activity Centres to local, intrastate and interstate visitors ensuring Stonnington is a prosperous community and a premier retail and tourist destination with thriving and connected local businesses. Your business planning, writing, marketing and knowledge of tourism will enhance Council’s aims and drive economic opportunity.
Candidates should have the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, an understanding of the influence that arts, tourism and culture has on visitation and growing economies as well as political environment including legislation, policies, strategies and programs.
