Reporting to the Director Planning and Place, this role is responsible for the setting the strategic direction for the economic development and growth across the City, with a focus on destination attraction and revitalization. You will drive initiatives between businesses, industry and community that support growth and prosperity in our local economy, working with Government, business and large private sector organizations to increase tourism and employment. This dynamic, strategic and highly visible role within council and the community will actively market Stonnington as a thriving, iconic and vibrant destination of choice.

Experience within Local Government is not essential, however, you will need the ability to navigate the complexities of Local and State Government to deliver outcomes, working collaborating with businesses. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Relevant qualifications in Business, Tourism, Economics or similar is essential.
