About the role
A core service of State Trustees is protecting the financial and legal interests of thousands of Victorians who are unable to manage their own affairs because of mental illness, injury or disability. Meeting the needs of these clients is the key focus of our Financial Administration area.

We're looking for an experienced individual to lead, motivate and develop a team of highly capable and high performing consultants that manage the financial and legal affairs of our clients. This is a challenging role that requires an experienced people manager that can think outside the square, has excellent problem-solving skills and drives results through their people in line with organisational service delivery and strategy.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a legal or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing and leading teams
  • Background knowledge and understanding of personal financial administration
  • Well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken), including the ability to deal sensitively with employees and clients in distress
  • Intermediate computer literacy including competent use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, and organisational skills
