As the General Manager of Financial Services for David Jones, you will lead this high profile and high performing function.  You will have direct accountability for the interests of David Jones in the strategic alliance with American Express.  Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer for our group and partnering closely with the David Jones leadership team, you will also identify, implement and optimize payment partner relationships including those across our sister brand, Country Road Group and parent company WHL.  This role will suit an experienced, ambitious, highly commercial and astute customer marketing/partnership leader with a deep passion for delivering outstanding holistic customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Inspire, coach and develop a high performing and engaged FS customer marketing team
• Continue to strengthen the AMEX alliance with a focus on customer and commercial outcomes
• Lead commercial relationships with other key payment partners including UnionPay, Alipay, and Afterpay
• Management of all DJs gift card opportunities
• Lead all alliance/FS activities across all DJs functions including online, store retail, marketing and merchandise
• Report and deliver regular commercial updates across WHL and DJs executive
• Deliver on commercial objectives set for the function

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Deep, dedicated experience as a Customer Marketing/Loyalty/Partnerships leader across retail and/or Financial Services industries
• Degree qualified within a Marketing or related field
• Well defined taste level aligned to high end, luxury customer experiences
• A highly strategic mindset supported by strong numerical and analytical skills
• Demonstrably strong retail and commercial acumen
• A proven ability to work alongside a range of key senior stakeholders in order to achieve business outcomes
• An ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing interests
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to present with confidence to senior stakeholders across the organisation
