Senior Finance Systems Analyst

The Opportunity

We currently have a maximum term opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Systems Analyst to join our Finance team in the Brisbane Head Office. This role forms part of our high performing Finance Solutions team, responsible for providing Finance related advisory services and systems support across QIC and will run through until 30 June 2019. This role would suit candidates looking to work flexibly on a 4 - 5 day per week arrangement.  

As a TechnologyOne expert, your familiarity with the system as both an administrator and a user will enable you to hit the ground running to provide ongoing system functionality and maintenance to your key stakeholder group. Your understanding of the budgeting and forecasting function in TechnologyOne, as well as your experience in XLOne reporting will see you providing specialised solutions to the Business Finance Management group. 

You will use both your technical knowledge, ability to build relationships and effective communication to deliver results to various levels of staff in the organisation.

Working collaboratively within the dynamic Finance Solutions team you will establish, maintain and improve systems functionality, work processes, policies, procedures, internal controls and solution implementation within the broader finance division.

The ideal candidate

As a strong candidate for this role, you will have a degree in accounting, business or commerce and CA/CPA qualifications coupled with greater than 5 years’ experience in a Finance profession as an accountant, systems accountant or business intelligence specialist.  You will have a high level of understanding of the TechnologyOne system.

You will have experience working in a commercial environment with a focus on financial models or focusing on business analysis. Through previous experience you will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts and translate them into opportunities for operational improvement.  

A suitable candidate will also be highly organised with the ability to multitask and work in a pressure environment coupled with a good understanding of business drivers and internal controls. Funds management and investment banking experience is preferable.
