Revenue Officer (Rates)

  • Permanent Full-Time position including a 19 day four week cycle

Council is seeking a confident and experienced Revenue Officer (Rates) to work in a ‘fast-paced’ environment as part of a small dynamic work team. This role works as part of a multi-skilled team to support the delivery of Revenue related services for Council.

About the role

The Revenue Officer (Rates) is required to interpret, investigate and action requests for information from ratepayers, government departments and other sections of Council in a timely and professional manner.The position plays an important role in ensuring that the level of service provided to internal and external customers is appropriate and that they contribute to the requirements of the team. Salary for this position is based on skills, experience and qualifications and will range from $54,043pa to $62,690pa plus super.

About You

This is a ‘fast paced’ work environment and in addition to being multi-skilled, holding the relevant qualifications and being a team player you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation (Local Government Act 1993) relating to revenue management

  • Experience in the preparation and review of financial reconciliations.

  • Experience in the use of spreadsheets and financial software

  • Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
