How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
In this role as Business Partner, you will ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial information, budget preparation, monitoring and reporting; and will contribute to business planning. You will work closely with the Manager Business Partnering playing a key role as the conduit between the Finance and Procurement branch and the wider operations of the organisation. You will be required to deliver a range of high quality financial analysis, advice, management accounting and services that support strategic decision making and best practice financial management.

Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence

CPA/CA qualified accountant (or nearing completion) with minimum 3 years of experience
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, month-end and year-end duties

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
-
Proven skills and experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders

Aptitude for balancing competing priorities in a busy and fast-paced environment

Commitment and proven ability to develop and implement quality service improvement processes, with a particular focus on developing excellent customer service
