OPERATIONAL FINANCE PROGRAM LEADER

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position delivers Operational Finance services for the Council, within a continuous improvement environment.

The position manages the Operational Finance team which comprises of 5 staff responsible for accounts payable, financial controls, preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Statutory Returns, taxation compliance, balance sheet account reconciliation and financial management Information Systems

The successful candidate will have relevant accounting qualifications, extensive experience in development and implementation of operational accounting and financial management controls for financial systems, policies and procedures, strong team management, interpersonal & communication skills, advanced computer skills and a knowledge and understanding of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act, accounting standards and other appropriate legislation.

Salary: commencing at $1,846.16 gross per week
