YOUR NEW ROLE

The Assistant Account role assists in the execution of accounting and month end procedures across the Retail & Distribution business units to ensure the timely, efficient, and accurate reporting of the Financial Statements in accordance with Accounting Standards.

The role is responsible for:

  • The maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register including Addition, Disposal, Useful Life determinations, Depreciation and Reconciliation
  • Preparation and completion of all bank journals ensuring all entries are identified and allocated accurately
  • Reconciliation of Reported Takings for all tenders to banking records
  • Creation and Maintenance of Vendor/Customer Master Data
  • Processing of Month End Journals and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Distribution of Profit & Loss Statements to relevant stakeholder groups

The role also supports the Accounting Manager and Financial Accounting Team in delivering the monthly timetable to close the financial records and associated statements for the given reporting period.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree Qualified
  • Previous accounts clerical experience min 2 years
  • Intermediate excel and MS office experience
  • Precision and attention to Detail
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi task and work to deadlines
  • Ability to take direction and work autonomously
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
