The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) invites interested individuals to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the vacant position of independent member on its Risk and Audit Committee (RAC). The committee also provides services to nominated small portfolio entities, such as the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability.

The department is focused on creating a liveable, inclusive and sustainable Victoria with thriving natural environments where the community is at the centre of everything we do.

The RAC’s functions provide assurance to the Secretary that the department’s risk and control environment is operating effectively and efficiently. RAC responsibilities include risk management, insurance, financial reporting, audit and compliance.

The term of appointment will commence in July 2019 and expire on 31 August 2022.

Fees are in the value range for Members of Group B Organisations, as set out in Schedule B of the Appointment and Remuneration Guidelines issued by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

RAC generally meets seven times per year, with a requirement for members to attend at least six of these meetings, as well as consideration of matters "out of session".
