About AFSA AFSA is an executive agency in the Attorney-General’s portfolio. We are responsible for Australia’s personal insolvency and personal property securities systems, which provide Australian consumers and business with enhanced financial risk management, investor confidence and enhanced access to finances. We support this through our expert trustee and registry services, and risk-based regulation—ensuring our systems operate in a reliable manner with predictable outcomes and facilitate financial decision-making in the Australian economy. About Your Role As a Senior Investigator you will case manage and undertake complex investigations and compliance activities, and make recommendations on appropriate courses of action to ensure compliance with bankruptcy and personal property securities laws. You will also be responsible for assessing complex offence referrals, preparing briefs of evidence and recommending appropriate course of action. You will play a lead role in educating members of the community on the role of AFSA and their rights under the Bankruptcy Act 1966 and the Personal Property Securities Act 2009.
