Payroll and HR Advisor

About the Role

We are looking for a payroll expert with an interest and knowledge in general HR. The roles sits within the “People Assist” team and involves the provision of an advisory and consultancy service to management and staff on a range of payroll matters and HR queries, as well as contribution to projects to support the key people priorities of the organisation. 

The Payroll & HR Advisor:

  • provides efficient, accurate and timely delivery of the fortnightly payroll within AFSA including superannuation, complex payroll calculations and transactions in accordance with legislative requirements;
  • acts as an escalation point and undertakes more complex and technical payroll matters;
  • responds to a diverse range of HR queries in the areas of Employee Conditions, Recruitment and Learning;
  • performs system testing, including undertaking audits of payroll issues;
  • supports the Team Leader in various projects and business improvement strategies
