The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) is the government agency responsible for providing improved and equitable financial outcomes for consumers, business and the community through application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws, regulation of personal insolvency practitioners, and trustee services.

About the Role

The Assistant Director Regulation & Enforcement will lead a multi-disciplinary team aligned to AFSA’s vision of being both a firm and fair regulator and, a world class government service provider. You will drive digital transformation in both complex regulatory and enforcement operations to innovate and lead change across the division. You will lead the achievement of high quality performance and service delivery outcomes in a complex regulatory and enforcement environment. You will collaborate and build strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders. In addition to being a trusted technical expert, you will also engage with staff across the site and fulfil site leadership activities to enable a supportive and inclusive culture.

About You   

We are looking for an experienced regulation and enforcement professional with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement skills. You will be an effective change leader with a proven ability to drive digital transformation and embed an innovative culture. You will bring a citizen centric approach to serve the interest of the Australian community and support AFSA’s vision of a firm and fair regulator. Your ability to incorporate evidence based decisions will see you succeed in this role.
