Client Services Officer (Personal Property Securities)

You will be a key member of a collaborative team within this Government agency that is responsible for managing the application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws through the delivery of high-quality personal insolvency and trustee, regulation and enforcement, and personal property securities services.

The role of the Personal Property Security Officer (PPSO) is to support activities that increase public confidence in the Agency’s ability to administer the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) and regulate the Personal Properties Securities system.  The PPSO protects and improves the integrity and operation of the PPSR in order to deliver effective services and compliance outcomes. 

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • assessment of client applications and documentation to effectively manage and control compliance, regulation, and integrity of all data
  • responding to client enquiries in an effective and efficient manner in accordance to Agency guidelines
  • gathering of information and facts to enable accurate and timely assessment of client applications and enquiries
  • conducting usability, functional and negative testing within controlled environments to ensure quality of releases
  • providing a high level of customer engagement and administration to ensure the quality of service delivery at all times.

The following skills and attributes will be highly regarded:

  • Relevant experience working in a similar regulatory or compliance role
  • The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and Acts
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent administrative and records management skills
  • Previous experience working in a corporate customer services environment.
