Assistant Adviser to the Honourable Kevin Rudd AC, 26th Prime Minister of Australia

Applications are invited for the above position based in Brisbane.

The successful applicant would assist in advising Mr Rudd on economic, social and environmental policy questions relevant to Australian politics. This position would suit a highly motivated person with relevant experience, strong research, analytical and drafting skills, and ideally with political, communications and/or media experience. Knowledge of Australian government and parliamentary processes would be an advantage.

The Assistant Advisor position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019.

A salary within the range $79 866 - $95 796 p.a. will be determined commensurate with relevant skills and experience. The position would commence as soon as possible and a probationary period of 3 months will apply.
