We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time and fixed term to June 2024 appointment to the position of Research Officer/Senior Research Officer in Sustainable Finance for Agricultural Systems within the Tropical North Queensland Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub. The position is based at the Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas. Level of appointment and remuneration will be dependent on relevant qualifications and experience.

What you can accomplish in the role 

The Research Officer / Senior Research Officer will have established skills, experience and a working knowledge on innovative green finance mechanisms and how these mechanisms can accelerate practice change management in agricultural industries that lead to profitable, eco-friendly solutions that are robust to challenging climates.

Tropical North Queensland Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub (TNQ Hub) 

The TNQ Hub is led by JCU. The hub will support farmers and communities in Tropical North Queensland to become more drought resilient. The objective of the Federal Government’s Program is to invest into collaborative research, development, extension, adoption and commercialisation (RDEA&C) activities. These activities will help primary producers and rural and regional communities to become more prepared for, and resilient to, future droughts.
