About the role

The Windows Engineer (Security Systems) will lead and deliver the management of windows security configuration and patching. You will be part of a multidisciplinary ICT Infrastructure team and work closely with colleagues within the ICT service division. You will build and maintain a strong client focussed ICT service culture to support AFSA’s business operation.

  • Ensure security patching is up to date and that critical patches are implemented
  • Manage the effective day to day operations of AFSA’s Windows Server capabilities
  • Configure the agency’s System Centre products including SCCM, SCOM and SCSM
  • Manage a range of AFSA’s corporate systems, which run on Microsoft Windows platform (including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Skype for Business)
  • Design robust solutions to identified issues and risks in with the infrastructure team
  • Liaise with vendors in relation to incidents, problems, solutions and ongoing support arrangements
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with clients and stakeholders

 

About You

  • Demonstrated significant experience in securing Windows environments.
  • Demonstrated experience (5years+) administering the Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience in configuring and managing Microsoft Systems Centre
  • Experience in managing and configuring Splunk would be highly regarded
  • Proven track record in effective knowledge transfer to other team members and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and environment of collaboration and change.
