The Finance Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency finances with particular emphasis on preparation of annual financial statements and other external reporting requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accrual accounting principles and concepts, including financial management and accounting experience in the public sector.

Strong analytical skills and experience in developing strategies for the allocation and management of financial resources.

Well-developed oral and written communication skills, in particular the ability to effectively communicate financial and resourcing matters to internal and direct stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to deliver time-critical work under broad direction, working flexibly and co-operatively in a team.

Knowledge of the Budget cycle and of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and Commonwealth Procurement Rules in relation to accounts, purchasing and contract management.

Baseline Security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance with knowledge and experience in SAP Finance desirable.
