Senior Finance Manager - Group Accounting

 

Your Impact

As a key position within Group Accounting, you will lead corporate accounting across the group, including the provision of technical advice. The position is responsible for the delivery of consolidated external reporting requirements and compliance as well as the development and maintenance of aspects of the Asahi Group’s accounting control environment. The position will be expected to communicate directly with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting, your role will be to provide technical accounting analysis and support for the Asahi Beverages businesses. This will include complex issues arising from business development activity, mergers and acquisitions, organisational change and change in regulatory requirements. Educating the Asahi leadership team on the involvement of analysis and accounting treatment will also form part of the role.

Specifically, you will;

  • Manage the Group’s consolidation reporting and month end process
  • Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting of statutory P&L items, the balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Lead aspects of the Group’s audit for Group reporting and coordinate directly with the Group’s auditors
  • Oversee intercompany accounting for the group
  • Develop and maintain an effective control framework, including ongoing assessment of risks and associated controls, plans to deliver improvements and comprehensive documentation

  • Develop effective relationships across the organization, and lead and influence conversations with key external organisations and stakeholders.

About You

CPA /CA qualified, you will have significant demonstrated experience in complex financial accounting and structuring, with large consolidation experience.

You will also have;

  • Experience in writing accounting positions and application of IFRS
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of risk & control frameworks, including process improvement
  • Experience with ERP and Group Consolidation Reporting systems (e.g. HFM, SAP)
  • High level analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills including report writing
  • Highly numerate, with the capacity to understand complex concepts and simplify them for other users and stakeholders
